Ingredients

1 sheet of thawed puff pastry

2 diced, peeled, and cored apples

2 tablespoons of sugar, granulated

A half-teaspoon of cinnamon powder

One teaspoon of lemon juice

One teaspoon of flour

One beaten egg

Optional: granulated sugar for dusting

Instructions

Turn on the Ninja Dual Zone Air Fryer and preheat it for three minutes to 180°C (350°F).

Combine the flour, lemon juice, ground cinnamon, sugar, and chopped apples in a bowl. To evenly cover the apples, thoroughly mix.

Roll out the puff pastry sheet and cut it into around 4-5-inch-wide squares or circles.

Fill one half of each pastry square or circle with a tablespoon of the apple filling, leaving an outer border.

To seal the borders, fold the remaining pastry half over the filling and press the sides firmly together with a fork.

Divide the air fryer basket into two sections, one for the hand pies and the other for other sweets.

Use the beaten egg to brush the hand pies’ tops.

Air fry the hand pies for 12 minutes at 180 °C (350 °F) or until they are crisp and golden brown.

Take the apple hand pies out of the air fryer and set them aside to cool.

Adding powdered sugar before serving is optional.
