1 sheet of thawed puff pastry

1/2 cup strawberry or apricot jam or preserves

2.2 ounces of cream cheese

One tablespoon of sugar, granulated

A half-teaspoon of cinnamon powder

One beaten egg

Elective: granulated sugar for dusting



Turn on the Ninja Dual Zone Air Fryer and preheat it for three minutes to 180°C (350°F).

After rolling out the puff pastry sheet, cut it into circles with a diameter of around 4-5 inches.

Combine the fruit preserves, cream cheese, granulated sugar, and ground cinnamon well in a small bowl.

Leaving a border around the borders, dollop the filling onto one half of each dough circle.

To seal the borders, fold the remaining pastry half over the filling and press the sides firmly together with a fork.

Divide the air fryer basket into two sections, one for other sweets and the other for the empanadas.

Use the beaten egg to brush the tops of the empanadas.

Air fry the empanadas for 10 minutes or until they are golden brown and crispy at 180°C (350°F).

Take the dessert empanadas out of the air fryer and set them aside to cool.

Adding powdered sugar before serving is optional.
